Good Spring Restoration Project was funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Bureau. The goal was to mimics the pre -settlement conditions by putting the steam channels as well as the floodplain back to its almost historic elevations and location. By preforming this the Good Springs Creek was removed of sediment allowing the water quality to improve. When runoff occurs it is able to sink into the ground rather than moving downstream, causing wildlife habitation to improve, reduces flooding, reduce erosion, and helps with pollution reduction.
